Ernie
Drawing from his 18 years of experience with clients ranging from professional athletes to 5 year old PhiT Kids participants, Ernie’s style combines his history as a former marine, nanny (yes, nanny!) and avid reader - disciplined, attentive and entertaining. If you want to know the capital of South Carolina, who was the 23rd president, or just about any other anecdotal fact, Ernie is your source. A master story teller (well, that is what is family thinks), you will always be entertained by his vivid stories, whether personal or relayed from a recent documentary, magazine or book. His true passions include: training athletes of all ages, teaching as many people as he can his style of Commando Krav Maga (an Israeli Commando based self-defense system), training for triathlons and most importantly (and the most fun), playing with Brock, his pride and joy. A transplant from Greenwich CT, he lives in Stowe with his family and is still trying to get used to the long winters.
Julie
As the self-proclaimed Queen of Self-Help Books, Julie has finally found her groove. After opening PhiT with Ernie in 2003, a chance visit to Las Vegas (of all places!) allowed her to get back to what she truly loves - dance. With a dance degree from the University of California and a few fitness certifications, Julie thinks that everything she has done has led her to this moment. Whether she is dancing in her kitchen or in her studio at PhiT, she is thrilled to work on Phusia - a fusion of dance styles including jazz, hip hop, latin and country under the guise of a fitness class. "This class offers every woman a chance to get her sexy on and just have a blast.“ says Julie. "It's always been a goal of mine to help as many women as I can. I never thought dance would be the venue and I am so thrilled it is! I am so grateful to do what I do." When she isn't working on Phusia, she is a pseudo psychiatrist (read personal trainer) and loves helping people reach their goals, whether they are fitness or personal. In her spare time, she is the receiver of much love from her husband and five children at home in Stowe, VT.
